Job Description

This part-time non-tenure track position within the will teach up to two courses for the 2020-2021 academic year. This position is funded through the CARES Act/MSI funding and is available on as needed basis for the 2020 – 2021 academic year.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach up to three courses per semester.

  • Keep records, post grades (mid-term & final), submit attendance reporting, and mentor students.

  • Submit ABET course assessment reports and course binders.

  • Post and maintain office hours.

  • Other duties as assigned by department head.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering

  •  Prior experience in teaching civil engineering related courses.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to use virtual technology and related  software to support online teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering
