Job Description:


Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois, invites applications for a position teaching applied flute and directing flute choir, beginning in August of the 2024-25 academic year.
We require no research or campus service in this position. Adjunct faculty are welcome to be involved in the life of the department and college beyond their teaching. All faculty at Augustana are invited to engage in professional development and mentoring opportunities consistent with their needs throughout their appointment at the college.


Requirements:

Successful candidates will hold (at minimum) a masters degree in flute performance or a related field, be able to demonstrate outstanding teaching to undergraduate students of all levels, and be prepared to lead rehearsals and performances of Augustana Flute Choir.
