Job Summary

The ideal candidate has the primary responsibility of instruction in the classroom, clinical sites and laboratory settings for VETT 2352 Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging to begin Spring 2024.
This is a Safety Sensitive position pursuant to Oklahoma Statute OKLA. STAT. tit. 63, § 427.8 (2020).

Essential Duties

Radiology and diagnostic imaging, lecture and laboratory.

Course covers diagnostic imaging of small animal and large animal, for all body systems. Digital radiography, ultrasound and other imaging modalities common to veterinary medicine.

Planning, developing, implementing and evaluating curriculum common to imaging for veterinary nursing.

Assist management of in-house animal patients, field trips, and other experiential opportunities for student learning.

Participate with Program accreditation and regulatory requirements.


Minimum Qualifications

DVM, or RVT (Bachelors, or VTS Diagnostic Imaging).

Hold a valid, unencumbered license to practice veterinary medicine/nursing in the State of Oklahoma.

Evidence of current practice with a minimum of three years full-time equivalent as a veterinarian/RVT in a clinical setting preceding employment as a teacher.

Philosophy compatible with that of a comprehensive urban community college.

Salary commensurate with education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an AVMA-accredited institution.

Hold a valid, unencumbered registration from DEA and OBN (Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics).

Small and Large animal experience, to include dogs, cats, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs.

Member of AVMA and OVMA, or OVTA.

Prefer teaching experience at the community college or university level.
