Position Summary
La Salle University’s Psychology department has a need for an instructor for an undergraduate, in-person section of PSY 430 “History and Systems of Psychology” at the undergraduate level for Spring 2024. The course description is as follows: This course examines the beginnings and development of psychology as a science and profession; psychology’s historical roots in philosophy, biology, and national culture.

Essential Duties
  • Teach assigned course(s).
  • Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives.
  • Provide timely grading and feedback to students.
  • Provide guidance and support to students.
Required Qualifications
Required of instructors in ALL programs:
  • Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
  • Multicultural competence and training.

Undergraduate Program:
  • Master’s degree (M.A.) or above in psychology or in a closely related field.
  • Ability to teach in-person on La Salle’s main campus

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level.
  • Specialized knowledge of Biopsychology
