Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of six health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The School teaches approximately 600 PharmD students and 145 graduate students. Position Summary
The Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics (DPET) is recruiting for an adjunct faculty in support of the division’s 100% virtual Master of Professional Science (MPS) in Regulatory Science program. The MPS adjunct faculty will provide training in modern pharmaceutical product development, global pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, and cutting-edge regulatory science to become innovators and leaders in the field. Students will gain a combination of regulatory affairs knowledge, professional skills, and practical experience.
Reporting into the program Director, the adjunct faculty is responsible for developing content for and teaching the Global Regulatory Strategy course, as well as to contribute to other aspects of the program as needed including other courses as determined.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Post-baccalaureate degree in regulatory studies or an associated field, or BS in regulatory studies or an associated field with relevant commensurate experience (10-15 years) is required.
Previous work experience in regulatory affairs strategy is required.
Demonstrated proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Desire to teach regulatory studies to graduate students.
Prior experience teaching at the graduate level is preferred (online teaching experience in a plus).
PharmD or PhD in a relevant field is preferred.
RAC credential is preferred.
