Work Schedule | Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis. as needed. Responsibilities include teaching developmental and/or college-level courses, which may include distance-learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends. Primarily face-to-face with the possibility of remote instruction. |

Job Description | Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia – principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. Our scenic campus is located in Albemarle County, Virginia. We are one of 23 community colleges in Virginia that comprise the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). |

KSA's/Required Qualifications | The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful teaching or related experience. Minimum Education Required- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or an Associate’s degree in Computer Science Information Systems with demonstrated competency in teaching field. |
Additional Considerations | Two years teaching experience, work experience in the field, and experience with on-line teaching. Advanced degree(s) in computer science, information systems, information technology, management information systems, or related field; knowledge and experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or information security; certifications in Cisco Certified Network, Network+, A+ or CompTIA Security+, course and program development in networking and/or cybersecurity. |
