Job Description:
The department of Philosophy at Bellarmine University is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Phil 101: Introduction to Philosophy during the fall 2021 semester (August 19th-December 9th). Applicants should have prior university-level Philosophy teaching experience.
The adjunct faculty member will:
Teach at least one course at the 101 level (Introductory Philosophy) to meet learning outcomes and promote students' active participation in their own learning: preparing assignments, assigning and reviewing homework, preparing and proctoring exams.
Sections available include one section of Intro at MWF 12-12:50 PM and T/TH at 4:30-5:45 PM.
Hold office hours, at least a minimum of 2 hrs a week, and meet students by appointment as needed.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in philosophy or closely related field
prior teaching experience
