Job Description

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach MSPO 515 - Cybersecurity Applications in Space.

Course Description

This course provides a comprehensive study of cybersecurity as it relates to both military and civilian space system applications. The course reviews cybersecurity principles; space system design, manufacturing, and operational considerations; technical and environmental constraints for both planetary orbits and deep space trajectories; cyber threats and attack vectors; risk mitigation and resilience; cybersecurity standards and regulations.


Qualifications

A minimum of a Doctorate degree in discipline is required (please see list of acceptable disciplines below), as well as relevant industry experience from within the last 7 years.

Appropriate Certification

DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications (https://public.cyber.mil/cw/cwmp/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications/ )

Desired Professional Training or Experience

Specific industry, military or university training, or experience in cybersecurity, ideally within the aerospace industry, including conducting or managing cybersecurity programs in operational settings.
