Job Description

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide Campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach AENG 522 - Analysis of Aircraft Composite Materials online.

 

Course Description:

 

Fiber materials, tapes cloths, resin systems. Theory of elastic anisotropic materials. Elastic constants for multi-ply composites. Matrix formulation. Computer analysis. Strength and theory of failure. Sources and use of experimental data. Design considerations.


Qualifications

Applicant Qualifications

 

A minimum of a Doctoral degree in discipline is required (please see list of acceptable disciplines below), as well as relevant industry experience from within the last 7 years.

 

Applicable Professional Certification

 

Professional Engineer’s License

 

Desired Professional Training or Experience

 

Experience in a government, industry, or academic organization conducting research, development, and applications programs related to aerospace composite materials and structures. Active membership in professional organizations in engineering, i.e., National Academy of Engineering, National Society of Professional Engineers, discipline-specific professional societies, or other organizations in fields related to development, testing, and application of aerospace composites materials, structures, or related technology.
