Embry-Riddle Aeronautical's Worldwide Campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach AENG 502 - Strength and Fatigue of Materials online.
Course Description:
Analysis of stress and deformation in rods, beams, plates, shells and solids using the elementary theories of elasticity and plasticity. Theories of strength, impact, fatigue and creep. Computer methods and applications.
Qualifications
Applicant Qualifications
A minimum of a Doctoral degree in discipline is required (please see list of acceptable disciplines below), as well as relevant industry experience from within the last 7 years.
Applicable Professional Certification
Professional Engineer’s License
Desired Professional Training or Experience
Experience in a government, industry, or academic organization conducting research, development, and applications programs related to strength and fatigue of materials. Active membership in professional organizations in engineering, i.e., National Academy of Engineering, National Society of Professional Engineers, discipline-specific professional societies, or other organizations in fields related to strength and fatigue of materials, or related technology.
