Job Overview

Leading a cohort of first year students through course material, adjustment to college, grading assignments, monitoring student participation, adherence to program and college policies and procedures, and maintaining communication with college program faculty, staff, and students.


Essential Functions
  • Empower students to succeed academically and personally at the University of Cincinnati (UC).
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and staff colleagues as well as instructional and student service offices.
  • Exhibit effective communication with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Effectively use the UC Learning Management System (LMS), and all other required electronic course materials.                                                          
  • Understand the commitment of a first year experience to the College of Allied Health Sciences.
  • Participate in FYE activities that are held at the college or university level.
  • Participate actively in professional development to ensure the latest research, national trends and best practices related to student success are delivered effectively into Success in Allied Health I.
  • Provide leadership in developing, evaluating, and maintaining a curriculum that prepares students for 
success and meets the stated requirements of the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) First Year Seminar.
