Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for non-tenure track adjunct faculty in introductory mathematics. Responsibilities include teaching math courses on campus and may involve travel to regional high school campuses. Employment in this position will be based upon enrollment, class availability, and department needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited university in mathematics, applied mathematics, or statistics at the time of employment; or master's degree in a related field from a regionally accredited university with at least 18 semester credit hours in mathematics or statistics at the graduate level at the time of employment.

  • Experience teaching developmental and introductory mathematics in higher education and/or experience in secondary school mathematics education.

  • Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using web-based learning management systems to deliver or supplement mathematics instruction.
