Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati Master of Medical Laboratory Science Leadership Program is searching for adjunct faculty to facilitate or instruct various MS-MLS courses in the distance learning track. 


Essential Functions

Responsibilities include leading a cohort of MS-MLSL students through course material, grading assignments, monitoring student participation, participation in weekly conference calls and office hours, adherence to program and college policies and procedures, and maintaining communication with MS-MLS program faculty, staff, and students.

Courses vary by semester but may include:

  • Interprofessional Collaboration and Clinical Practice
  • Leadership Theory and Practice
  • Management/Administration in Laboratory Science
  • Evidence Based Practice
  • Medical Ethics
  • Molecular Diagnostics
  • Human Genetics and Disease Development
  • Immunogenetics

Minimum Requirements
  • Facilitators: Masters Degree 
  • Lead Instructors: Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) in related discipline, Doctorate of Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS), or Medical Doctor (MD)  
  • Three years of clinical laboratory experience. 
  • Teaching experience, classroom or bench and MLT/MLS or categorical certification is preferred. 
  • Candidates should also have computer and internet literacy and be comfortable working through minor trouble-shooting issues alone or with the help of technology support staff.
