Job Description

Part-time faculty on the SAN ANTONIO campus. The successful candidate will teach lower-division undergraduate courses in Philosophy, based on academic qualifications. Applicants will be contacted according to departmental needs. Teaching assignments are in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats, and may include day or night classes, as well as off-site teaching assignments in Early College High School locations.

Salary:  $3000/course.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Philosophy, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.

• 18 completed graduate course hours in Philosophy, or a related field.

• Experience with teaching undergraduate Philosophy classes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching online courses

• Experience working with non-traditional, first-generation students.

• Experience in culturally diverse settings.

• Completed Ph.D. in Philosophy.

Texas A&M University--San Antonio:  Texas A&M University-San Antonio (A&M-SA) is part of the Texas A&M University System.  A&M-SA is a new campus in the established A&M system, serving students (undergraduate and graduate) from a culturally diverse and largely non-traditional population.  The current enrollment is approximately 7,000.
