Job Description

The department of Language, Literature, and Arts at the Texas A&M University-San Antonio campus is seeking to fill part-time Adjunct faculty positions in English. The successful candidate will teach lower-division undergraduate sections of the general education courses in English, American, and/or World literature. Sections may include sizable numbers of dual credit high school students. Summer teaching assignments may be available, but not guaranteed.  Teaching assignments may be face-to-face or online (synchronous or asynchronous) and may include day or night classes.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in English, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.

  • 18 graduate hours in English, or similar field.

  • College or University teaching experience preferred.

  • Experience with teaching English classes preferred.

  • Experience with hands-on teaching techniques preferred.

  • Experience in culturally diverse settings preferred.

We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator (e.g., AACRAO; http://www.aacrao.org/credential/index.htm ).
