Job Description

The Department of Computing and Cyber security is seeking a non-tenure track adjunct faculty. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer science, software engineering, game programming, cyber security and data analytics, etc. Candidates must have experience with one or more of those fields. The adjunct faculty will prepare and teach the assigned class following a syllabus guideline. The faculty will maintain appropriate records, assign earned grades, report needed data to the department, and complete all necessary development assessment information. Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes, on-campus or on-line classes.  

Required Education and Experience:

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field from a regionally accredited university.

  • Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • College/University teaching experience.  

  • Prior relevant industry experience.

  • Familiarity with non-traditional commuter University setting.

  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations. ​​

  • Appropriate certificates/licenses.

  • Experience with Learning Management System such as Blackboard.

  • Experience with delivery of hybrid/blended classes.
