About the Opportunity
Mills College at Northeastern University is seeking Adjunct Faculty to Education courses at the Oakland campus in the Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 academic terms. Through its research, teaching, and engagement missions, the college collaborates across the university, the Northeastern network, and partners around the globe. Responsibilities:
Mills College of Northeastern University is seeking applicants to teach such courses as:

  • Human Development & Classroom Community
  • Multiliteracies Multiple Subject
  • Multiliteracies Single Subject
  • Curriculum & Instruction Multiple Subject
  • Curriculum & Instruction Single Subject - Humanities
  • Curriculum & Instruction Single Subject - STEM
  • Pedagogical Content Knowledge Lab Multiple Subject
  • Pedagogical Content Knowledge Lab Single Subject

Responsibilities include: developing a syllabus, assignments, assessments and course schedule to meet required learning outcomes; developing and delivering course content using the Mills College at Northeastern teaching and learning platforms and facilities; holding appropriate office hours; engaging with departmental and university adjunct faculty obligations as required.
The courses will be taught in person on the Mills College at Northeastern campus in Oakland, California. The per credit rate is $2,317.50.
Qualifications:
M.A. required, Ph.D. or A.B.D. preferred. Preference will be given to persons experienced in teaching in K-12 classrooms as well as large and diverse groups of students.
