The Department of Natural Sciences in the School of Agricultural and Natural Sciences (SANS) at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), invites applicants to apply for adjunct teaching position in the biological sciences. Resumes will be reviewed as needed for each semester.

UMES is located on the scenic Eastern Shore of Maryland in Princess Anne, MD, located 11 miles south of Salisbury, the county seat. UMES is an HBCU serving a diverse student body of 2100 undergraduate and 400 graduate students. The Department of Natural Sciences provides programs in chemistry (ACS-accredited), biochemistry, biology, marine, estuarine, and environmental science, and toxicology.

Responsibilities

Teach courses across the department’s biology major and service course curricula.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D., D.P.T., or other professional degree biology, organismal biology, ecology, or other biological sciences disciplines. Previous teaching experience preferred, and pedagogical training can be provided to support the candidate’s teaching effectiveness.
