Mat-Su College is a community campus of the University of Alaska Anchorage located in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, the fastest growing region of Alaska. Applicants must be available to work within Alaska during the length of the assignment. No relocation expenses will be paid
for adjunct instruction.

Adjunct positions are hired on a semester-by-semester contract basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract.

To thrive in this role adjunct faculty members must be student-focused, with a strong desire to see students succeed in their academic goals. Timely submission of requested information, such as grades, is expected.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have expertise and experience relevant to teaching the specific course content. Experience teaching college-level courses is preferred.

Academic Disciplines:
Varies by discipline; typically, master’s degree or higher in the appropriate academic area or
master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in field. Experience teaching college-level courses is preferred.

Vocational Disciplines:
Varies by discipline; typically, degree or certificate in field with demonstrated experience and expertise sufficient to perform teaching assignment required. Successful applicants must provide official transcripts documenting academic credentials required for the position as a condition of employment.

Position Details:

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.

Applicants should reside in the State of Alaska as most courses will be taught face-to-face on the campus of Mat-Su College. No relocation expenses will be paid for adjunct instruction.

Salary is based on the number of previous semesters teaching experience within the University of Alaska.

This is an at-will, union represented adjunct position, and may be cancelled based upon the needs of the university.
