Description
The School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the University of New England seeks applications for adjunct teaching professors to teach General Chemistry II Laboratory (CHE 111L) in the Spring 2023 semester (January 17 – May 10, 2024). 
General Chemistry II Laboratory is an essential component to the two semester general chemistry curricula for undergraduate science majors at UNE. Each lab sections meets weekly for one 3-hour lab period.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
  • Updating a course syllabus (sample syllabi and course materials are available).
  • Presenting instruction aligned with the student learning outcomes of the course.
  • Preparing student assignments that assess the learning outcomes.
  • Meeting during all designated class periods.
  • Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner.
  • Submitting mid-semester progress reports and final grades by University deadlines.
  • Following guidelines for delivery of the course under university protocols as outlined in the faculty and employee handbooks, and the UNE Onward Plan (https://www.une.edu/onward).
Qualifications
A master’s degree in chemistry or a related field is required; Ph.D. preferred. Candidates with college teaching experience are preferred.
