Department Summary
The Department of Physician Assistant Studies is seeking a Clinical Physician Assistant for an Adjunct Assistant Professor position to act as a Regional Clinical Hub Coordinator in the Big Bend/West Texas region. The most competitive applicant will be a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and prior experience precepting PA students. This position is secured through August 31, 2023 with the possibility of extension.
Position Summary
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Acquiring and maintaining preceptor relationships at clinical rotation sites in the Big Bend/West Texas Region
• Obtaining evaluations from preceptors in a timely manner
• Grading assignments and conducting assessments pertaining to rotations sites acquired
• Performing site visits in the Big Bend/West Texas Region
• Communicating with the clinical team on the status of clinical rotation sites through virtual or in-person meetings as applicable
• Occasional travel to Fort Worth campus for activities related to clinical year
• Other scholarly activities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a terminal degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field, or a terminal degree in Nurse Practitioner.
Applicants must currently hold or be eligible for PA or NP licensure in Texas.
Current NCCPA certification is required for Physician Assistants.
Must work clinically in the Big Bend/West Texas Region.
Preferred Qualifications
Precepts Physician Assistant students.
Required License / Registration / Certification

Work Schedule
Flexible schedule, appropriate for managing rotation sites.
