Job Description Summary:
The Faculty Clinical Track emphasizes professional service in clinical settings. This faculty member will serve as Fellowship Program Director for an Addiction Medicine Fellowship, and will provide addiction medicine didactics and clinical teaching to the students and residents in the department.
Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

  • Board eligible or certified in Addiction Medicine
  • Board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine
  • Eligible or licensed to practice medicine in the State of Kansas
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Eligible for hospital privileges at Ascension Via Christi
  • Good standing with the State Board of Healing Arts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience in an academic setting
  • Demonstrated abilities in teaching medical students and residents
  • Clinical experience post residency training

Job Duties Outlined:

Teaching & Education 0.10 FTE

  • Serve as Fellowship Program Director for Addiction Medicine Fellowship
  • Supervise, instruct and evaluate psychiatry residents and medical students on assigned educational clinical rotation(s) in accordance with department policies
  • Prepare and present formal lectures for psychiatry residents, psychology trainees, and medical students as required by the department
  • Prepare and update the educational goals and expectations of assigned educational clinical rotation(s)
  • Engage in education committees as assigned
  • Complete GME time studies as required.
