SUMMARY:

The Department of Marketing and Business Analytics is seeking applications for a Non-Tenure Track Ad-Interim Instructor position in Business Analytics for the 2022-2023 academic year. The instructor will be required to teach in-person at multiple locations (e.g., Commerce, Dallas, Frisco) and online and, engage in a number of College of Business activities via service.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teaching up to five (5) courses/semester in the required discipline
  • Assist students
  • Maintain office hours
  • Teach online and on any of the university campuses as dictated by student demand
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and staff
  • Provide service to the department, college, university and public schools, and community; and 
  • Stay current with research, best practices in teaching, and technological applications in the classroom, including online teaching.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: A Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field is required to teach undergraduate coursework. A minimum of 18 hours is required in a related field if the degree is out of discipline.

    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals

PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Preference will be given to candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials
  • Experience in business analytics such as database (SQL) management, Excel data analysis, cyber security management, or a specific industry analytics such as healthcare informatics, etc.
  • College or university teaching experience
  • Evidence of teaching excellence
  • Prior relevant industry experience
  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations

May supervise Student Workers
