Position Summary

Under direct supervision, performs moderately complex processing and clerical duties involving a high degree of responsibility and independent judgment, which may include:  filing, marking, receiving, processing and routing materials; withdrawing materials; checking for accuracy of records and quality of materials; updating records in databases; sorting and shelving of materials. Opening boxes of new books and checking them in on the packing list.
Special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED ABILITIES:  Computer literacy in a web environment. Keyboarding for accuracy more than speed.  Good organizational skills.  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push fully loaded book truck (weighing up to 80 lbs.).  Able to work independently.

  • Library experience preferred, other skills will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of Spanish but not necessary.
