Position Description:

As an Account Rep III, you will be working in the Clinical Practice Services department. You will provide guidance to determining appropriate allocation of payments, rejection, adjustments, claims submissions and/or follow-up. Train team members and monitor for accuracy and efficiency. Identify, analyze and recommend solutions to billing issues. Assist in team planning, goal setting and meeting productivity deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide training for Account Representative I and II’s. Monitor and identify issues to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Act as first line for team escalation process answering operational and training related questions.
  • Assist in developing, writing, updating and implementing protocols. Give written and oral presentation of new/updated information. Prepare minutes/notes from various meetings and committees.
  • Compile statistics and summarize data for team, payers and special projects. Utilize data to make recommendations to resolve issues and to assist in established goals.
  • Work special projects as assigned by Supervisor. Assist with mail and sort of claims. Assist where needed on team to meet weekly goals. 

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

  • Calculator and numerical keyboarding experience, basic knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and medical terminology; leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, problem solving skills; aptitude for training; ability to work independently.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a high volume environment. In-depth knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications.

Preferred Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications:

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education:                High School diploma

Minimum Required Experience:              Three years of computerized billing, claims or posting experience required
