Description

 

Sells program underwriting support for KUHF-FM radio or KUHT-TV to the commercial and not-for-profit corporate and business community; service underwriting accounts in a timely and professional manner.

  • Researches, contacts, and acquires potential clients in the community; maintains file of all contacts.
  • Writes, schedules and presents proposals to develop and maintain underwriting prospects and closes sales.
  • Services existing accounts regularly; prepares presentations to encourage renewed and increased funding commitments.
  • Writes underwriting copy and on-air promotional announcements; coordinates with programming to ensure timely and accurate broadcasting of announcements.
  • Prepares and submits sales and contact activity reports to management.,
  • Recommends modifications to the station sales package and marketing plan for generating income.
  • Represents the station to the industry, community and other public broadcasting stations.
  • Assists with planning and execution of on-air membership campaigns as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    Bachelors and 3 years experience.

    Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

    Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

     
    Salary: 3,881.00 - 5,047.00
