 Position Overview: Albert Einstein College of Medicine seeks a Business Manager for its academic information systems the core of which is Ellucian Banner. This person will have the responsibility of applying the needs of the business to the technical capabilities of the information systems.  This person will work with key stakeholders to ensure that the business needs define how the software is used effectively and efficiently.   

 

Job Responsibilities: 

 

  • Management of Banner Operations from both a business and technical standpoint.  Provide direction on how to utilize, integrate, and optimize this system. 
  • Lead and manage a team of technical employees dedicated to meeting the needs of the organization. 
  • Meet regularly with a group of individuals who are stakeholders with this system to define needs. 
  • Develop and modify business processes that can be completed with the College’s academic software packages and other ancillary programs. 
  • Increase the use of all software related to the College’s academic systems.  
  • Ensure and participate in the development of workflows of current processes and future ones as well. 
  • Ensure that SOPs have been developed for both the internal team and end users. 
  • Availability to mobilize the team if an outage occurs and communicate outages to key stake holders. 
  • Has an active role within the Client Services Team 
  • Take on other ERP / SIS tasks as directed by the Director of Client Services. 


 

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 or more years experience preferably using  Banner;
  • Progressive experience as a Banner manager of banner user group(s). 
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • High aptitude for the unique needs of Higher Education and relating that to Student Information Systems. 
  • The desire expands the knowledge of the software that AECOM uses to operate student facing functions. 
  • Excellent communication skill both written and verbal. 
  • Excellent listening skills 
  • Experience with and ability to work on a team and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, students and employees. 
  • Effectively manages own time and resources. 
  • Seeks to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency and solve problems.
