College of Health Professions and Sciences, Doctor of Physical Therapy Program:

The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) is home to nationally recognized programs focused on health and wellness ― and a respected faculty dedicated to teaching innovations and research partnerships. The college offers accredited programs in athletic coaching, athletic training, communication sciences and disorders, physical therapy, and social work. CHPS also offers one of UCF’s largest majors, health sciences, as well as popular programs in sport and exercise science within the field of kinesiology. Through coursework, field experience, and inter-professional education, our students develop high-demand skills in healthcare and cultural competency for working with diverse populations.

The UCF Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program educates students to become competent, compassionate, and ethical practitioners in a variety of healthcare settings. The program fosters excellence through its dedication to education, research and evidence-based practice, service and professional duty, and lifelong learning. The Opportunity:

The UCF Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program is looking for an Academic Support Coordinator II to join their team! Under the Director of the Division of Physical Therapy, this position is responsible for assisting in the overall operation of advising and administration for the Program and Division, working with faculty, staff, and community partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support to the Division of Physical Therapy.

  • Advising prospective students (DPT Program, Anatomical Sciences Graduate Certificate, Neurological Residency, etc.), applicants, and enrolled students in the UCF Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program.

  • Support the administrative functions of the Program Director.

  • Provide general program and Division support (faculty, operations, budgeting).

  • Management of communications (phones, email, social media outlets).

  • Management and/or support of program events and/or functions (continuing education, special ceremonies, open houses, property and budget, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in higher education or at a University.

  • Advising experience.

  • Experience with Workday.

  • Experience in event planning and coordination.

  • Experience with a variety of social media platforms.

  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to communicate and work in a team environment.

  • Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with diverse people and organizations.
