Job Description

The Academic Support Assistant provides administrative support to faculty, including special projects, academic support, correspondence, data compilation and student records. May perform duties of a sensitive and confidential nature. The position requires independent judgement and knowledge of the University's policies. Will frequently collaborate with the Department Chair, Administrative Assistant, full and part-time faculty and students.

Prepare departmental teaching schedules, correspondence for departmental meetings, departmental reports; Work with Student Services to input department's course schedule and assist Chair with coordinating schedules; Work with Programs Directors (MSF, PhD) on course scheduling; student needs.

Coordinate speaker series; set up meetings as required. Coordinate special projects and events, committee meetings.

Support classroom, technology and teaching needs for both FT and PT faculty.

Research and compile information for special and recurring departmental reports.

Hiring Range: $20.74/hr to $25.93/hr. Pay rate commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of progressively responsible experience preferably in a University setting.

Periodic evening and weekend work may be required especially during peak seasons.
