We analyze and evaluate the ways in which humans create meaning—how patterns create expectations and appetites, a sense of right, and of what comes next. We believe in the marketplace of ideas, and if we use our rational powers and open our ideas to challenge and critical assessment, we will work toward better knowledge, clearer understandings, and more effective policies.
