Job SummaryManage the development of an academic schedule by collaborating with academic schools, enrollment management, and academic advising. Provide operational guidance, and data analyses in the development of the academic schedule of classes. Responsible for following best practices for scheduling and adhering to TCC’s scheduling guidelines. Serve as the subject matter expert on scheduling software and ensure that course schedule meets students’ academic needs and end users are utilizing the system and executing technology application effectively and efficiently. Create the development of the academic schedule through conducting data analysis and manage all processes around the academic schedule.
Essential DutiesDevelop and manage the academic schedule based on historical data, predictive analytics, and enrollment trends.
Collaborate with the Academic Schools in the creation of the academic schedule for credit courses.
Collaborate with the Curriculum Compliance Administrator and the ERP team in managingschedule and degree maps.
Analyze and evaluate degree and pathway completion velocity, collaborating with Academicschools to determine efficient degrees and pathways for students in order to increase retention and completion.
Serve as a contact, service provider, and subject matter expert to academic departments and end users of scheduling software and reports.
Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information from scheduling software to provide data on efficiency and space utilization.
Interpret historical, current, and project data to identify operational inefficiencies and identify areas where procedural or system changes are warranted. Communicate these areas of improvement to appropriate stakeholders/administrators.
Develop training materials and conduct trainings on the scheduling software for end users.
Produce reports with predictive analytics for use by department chairs, deans, faculty, andadministration. Complete reports as requested.
Monitor and manage max enrollment exceptions, make rates, and missing room assignments.
Collaborate with Information Technology for the development and implementation of an accurate, effective, and useful and college scheduling management system.
Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
3 years of related work experience.
Experience working in Higher Education with expertise in academic scheduling and degree planning/mapping.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience building collaborative relationships.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Project management experience.
