Dakota State University is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to join our Academic Support team as the Academic Recovery and Early Alert Coordinator. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our commitment to student success and academic excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance the early alert system to identify high support students.
  • Provide personalized support to students facing academic challenges.
  • Develop and implement academic ReFocus programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to implement proactive strategies for success.
  • Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of interventions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required in education, human development, counseling, leadership or related field.
  • Master’s degree in education, counseling human development, leadership, student affairs, or related field, preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in student success strategies and higher education.
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to communicate efficiently and effectively with a wide range of diverse constituents.
  • Creative ideas and resourceful problem-solving skills
  • Desire and ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment exhibiting understanding, appreciation and respect for all individuals.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Data analysis skills and a commitment to data-informed decision-making.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
