Essential Functions


These are the job duties required of the position.


Essential Functions
  • Supports the daily operations of Student Academic Success via the Second Year Experience (SYE) Office assisting with daily student traffic, phone, calls, mail distribution, student appointments/referrals, assessment, and reports.
  • Creates and processes all records of students participating in SYE programming.
  • Researches student academic records in Banner and EAB Navigate to determine accurate student status.
  • Utilizes Navigate South to support intervention effectiveness and facilitate coordinated care in student success.
  • Supports the daily operations of SYE.
  • Maintains SYE office supplies and coordinates with procurement card holder, as needed.
  • Makes travel arrangements and prepares travel reimbursements for SYE activities.
  • Builds and maintains SYE data warehouse.
  • Tracks SYE cohort persistence daily and provides weekly reports.
  • Tracks key success indicators for special student populations.
  • Formulates data and reports for Title III Key Personnel.
  • Provides support for all SYE programs and activities.
  • Adheres to FERPA policies and regulations.
  • Compiles weekly statistical reports on academic records created and processed.
  • Maintains first year academic honor society to include sending invitations and assisting with orientation.
  • Answers telephone and assists public in a professional and articulate manner.
  • Provides support to other units within Student Academic Success as needed.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
  • Related duties as required.
