The Department of Art, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks an Academic Program Services Specialist to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. The Academic Program Services Specialist provides program and administrative support for the Department of Art and serves as the department’s undergraduate program coordinator. The Academic Program Services Specialist assists the Director of Undergraduate Studies with outreach, recruitment, and coordinating events; maintains a database of all current majors and minors; assists with undergraduate program curriculum assessments; serves as transfer credit coordinator in consultation with Director of Undergraduate Studies; supports academic functions including coordinating the academic course schedule, remote learning, classroom coordination, and assistance with new BA and BFA curriculum development; assists with course assessments by using Qualtrics surveys and gathers information for National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) accreditation reviews; maintains enrollment records and statistical data; provides data to department leadership for hiring decisions; supports scholarship efforts through management of the student application portal, maintains email correspondence with student applicants, facilitates the process for faculty to review and score applicants, and sends award letters to students; oversees department locker assignments; provides in-person, phone and remote welcoming to the department; provides departmental information support to students, department personnel, and visitors; provides administrative support to the Department of Art and Department Chair by drafting email and letter correspondence; updates department website, social media, calendar, and visiting artist communications; provides support for the department Promotion and Tenure (P&T) process for faculty; supervises life models and undergraduate student employees; assists with special projects as required and other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required, including experience with
Microsoft Word, Excel, project management software, and Social Media platforms required.

Desired Education and Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience. Experience using a Student Information System (SIS) .


Additional Information:

The pay range for this job profile is $22.16 - $29.54 . The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
