Academic Program Manager - Chemistry

Arts & Science is seeking a dedicated Academic Program Manager to join Chemistry. The Academic Program Manager will supervise the administrative operations of the undergraduate and graduate academic programs, including course scheduling and assignments for graduate and undergraduate programs. Implement the department's academic policies and procedures. Serve as the subject matter expert in College of Arts & Science (CAS) and Graduate School of Arts & Science (GSAS) policies and procedures, and recommend changes to departmental procedures to meet new guidelines; serve as a liaison with other University departments to resolve problems. Oversee special events related to the undergraduate program. Advise prospective and current undergraduate and graduate students of policies and procedures and assess student academic progress. Develop reports and present information to faculty leadership to aid in planning and decision making as it relates to the academic programs. Supervise staff and prioritize assignments to ensure deadlines are met and review work for accuracy.



Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field
Required Experience:
5+ years relevant experience planning and implementing administrative activities, counseling/advising students and supervising staff.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to market programs, solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Data collection and analysis skills. Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Ability to work in high volume, fast pasted and deadline driven environment.



In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,500.00 to USD $85,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
