POSITION DETAILS

The Academic Program Coordinator position places an emphasis on advanced technical knowledge and the coordination administrative work or activities to ensure a smooth flow of services and operations for the Nurse Anesthesia Adult Gerontology Acute Care Program. The Academic Program Coordinator plans, performs and coordinates the complex/highly technical Nurse Anesthesia program in support of HBSON department/division wide activities.

The Program Coordinator provides an advanced level of technical, diversified and administrative support to the program, specialty director and students to assure the smooth and efficient operation of the academic program. They will need to be an independent, efficient and analytical person to put in place organizational and business processes to ensure compliance with program accreditation and certification, grants, governmental agencies, enhance program development and facilitate program excellence and future program expansion. This position will provide primary programmatic operation to ensure for the seamless day-to-day operations while ensuring general operational direction (HR issues, budgetary issues, ordering of supplies, facilities issues, vacation/illness, technology, training, etc).

The Program Coordinator will report to the Specialty Director for the Nurse Anesthesia Adult Gerontology Acute Care Program.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Supports the directors and managers with orientation preparation, student advisement regarding program requirements, and providing basic information about financial aid and registration
  • Manages office records including faculty files; prepares reports and surveys; collects and maintains statistical data on program activities
  • Serves as liaison to various College offices to provide service delivery and appropriate referrals to students
  • Collects and reviews syllabi to ensure compliance with standards
  • Serves as resource person for students and faculty regarding program policies and procedures
  • May supervise office operations and/or monitor department budget
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience($54,268-$70,541).
