Job Description

The Academic Processes Coordinator, under general supervision, coordinates activities and provides training to staff. Coordinates program reviews, calculations, and data analyses using statistical software.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages communication and scheduling related to academic misconduct proceedings.

  • Maintains and provides technical support for vendor solutions, including Xitracs Enterprise, CouseLeaf, and AdAstra.

  • Supports Assistant Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and academic programs with curriculum process using CourseLeaf.

  • Creates the catalog production schedule; communicates with stakeholders; and review and publishes the catalog.

  • Manages the course schedule process.

  • Prepares and submits updates to the Texas Common Course Number System.

  • Prepares and submits core curriculum and degree pathway updates to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

  • Maintains the Academic Affairs website.

  • Prepares syllabus policy/resource updates.

  • Supports the Provost in preparing a newsletter.

  • Supports the Vice Provost in managing the Graduate Studies and Sponsored Research calendar.

  • Maintains articulation agreements with community colleges and other partners.

  • Coordinates program reviews for nonacademic units.

  • Coordinates activities and provides training to staff. Coordinates and reviews annual reports for accuracy and completeness. Serves on various related committees.

  • Coordinates the creation and dissemination of information. Serves as liaison to administrators.

  • Provides support for data collection/documentation, research projects, data mining, and web site design/update/creativity.

  • Coordinates calculation and analysis of data/scores.

  • Coordinates the data packets and reports.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.

  • Three (3) years of related experience in quantitative and qualitative techniques, research designs, and assessment protocols.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Knowledge of statistical software.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding.
