Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. The appointees will focus on pediatric anxiety (including obsessive-compulsive and tic disorders) and engage in externally funded applied research focused on childhood anxiety phenotypes. Clinical activities will include outpatient diagnostic evaluations and evidence-based behavioral and cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions. Provision of services for other childhood disorders are also expected. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.  We especially welcome applicants with training and experience in providing services for children from historically marginalized groups and those exposed to traumatic events, with demonstrated success in obtaining NIH funding. The position includes protected research time. The goal is for appointees to have and develop a program of clinical research that interfaces with clinical activities and training. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited university-based doctoral program, 2) hold or be eligible for an Illinois license in Clinical Psychology, and 3) have completed an internship at an APA-accredited site.
