| Posting Summary | Assist in facilitating and instructing multiple sections of general Biology/BioCore laboratories or recitation. Prepare for lab/recitation, conduct lab/recitation sections, and hold office hours. Attend course training and weekly TA meetings, grade student work, and assist with the course exam proctoring and grading. Support Laboratory Coordinator with course preparation, execution, and grading. |
| Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | Bachelors degree in a life science or related field and prior classroom or research experience with basic biology laboratory methods required. |
| Desirable Qualifications | Prior teaching experience desirable. |
| Other Information | Some evening hours required |
| Special Conditions | Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position |
