Job Description:


The Academic Executive Communications Manager will support internal and external communications that helps build support for and elevate the external visibility of Ohio University's academic deans in ways that uplift the reputation of their college and the university as a whole. The specialist will plan, build and distribute executive messages to faculty and staff within each of OHIO's academic colleges to ensure the vision and priorities of the Deans and his or her executive teams are understood and championed. In addition, the manager will work to build an external brand for each of the Deans with peer institutions, leveraging LinkedIn and other appropriate social media channels and assisting with the planning and execution of quarterly newsletters targeting peer institutions. This position reports directly to University Communications and Marketing Department and will work in close collaboration with the Academic Deans and the Office of the Provost.

Minimum Qualifications:


- Bachelor's Degree
- Six or more years of experience working in internal communications, executive communications, and/or other writing-intensive communication roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to present effectively to executive leadership.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and fluid deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


- Experience building emails with email marketing platforms such as Emma, ConstantContact, MailChimp or similar.
- Experience crafting social media strategy and content designed to build executive profiles.
- Experience in a college or university communications role.

Advertised Salary:


The full salary range for Pay Grade 16 is $44,592 to $74,196. Salary will be commensurate with successful candidate's education and experience while also considering internal equity.
