Educational Talent Search (ETS) provides students with the necessary support services to pursue a higher education. Our goal is to ensure that scholars are ready for college, with as many post-secondary options as possible. ETS is a federally funded TRIO program designed primarily to assist low-income and potential first-generation college students with enrolling and preparing to succeed in college, at the following Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) schools: Anaheim High School, Katella High School, Loara High School, Magnolia High School, Savanna High School, and Western High School.

Under the supervision of the Project Director, the Academic Coordinator will develop and implement programs and services to ensure ETS Scholars meet established objectives, including field trips, workshops, academic advising, summer programs, and staff training. The Academic Coordinator works with the Director to coordinate staffing needs and adjustments. Throughout the academic year, the Academic Coordinator guides the development and implementation of a College Success Plan for each Scholar, including Plans of Action for Scholars who are struggling to meet established expectations. The Academic Coordinator attends the College and Career Access Team (CCAT) and other School Site meetings and develop the necessary relationships and connections to ensure collaborative, integrated, smooth, and efficient delivery of services. The Academic Coordinator also serves as the onsite supervisor of College Student Advisor and conduct performance evaluations with each of their assigned team members. Based on program needs and the discretion of the ETS Director, the Academic Coordinator will support services of one or more grants at one or more target schools and may be assigned to coordinate special projects as their caseload allows.
