A Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field required. Master’s Degree in Teacher Education, Counseling or a related field preferred.

Two years of work experience in an academic setting required.
At least one year of academic advising experience student/academic advising, counseling or other related field in an institution of higher learning preferred.

Knowledge of common practices required for higher education and student advising.

Experience using computer/pc, advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office to include: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with other related software such as student applicant databases and course management systems.

Communicate both written and verbally across all levels of the organization. Develop professional relationships with students, faculty and staff. Work independently with minimal supervision and meet established deadlines.

Knowledge of academic policies and requirements preferred.

Experience developing student recruitment marketing materials including brochures, website, and video testimonials preferred.

Ability to collect and prepare data for presentation to faculty and academic compliance organizations.
