Job Summary | The College of Liberal Arts (CLA) seeks candidates for an Academic Advisor I, II or III position. Under general supervision, the candidate will advise undergraduate students on course matriculation plans, academic action, problem resolution, opportunities for engagement and career development, and will empower students to achieve professional, personal, and academic goals. This position demonstrates proficient and comprehensive knowledge of CLA undergraduate programs, university policies, and advising applications/platforms. Minimum Qualifications | Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Experience: Level I: No experience Level II: 3 years experience in academic advising in higher education Level III: 5 years experience in academic advising in higher education Substitutions allowed for Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, a related and relevant graduate degree may substitute for two (2) year’s experience |
