Posting Summary | Assist with the day-to-day implementation of the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study, which is a federally funded research study in the Department of Psychiatry. Responsible for scheduling participants, obtaining subject consents, and performing neurocognitive and psychological tests, as well as coordinating sample collection and analysis under Research Specialist daily supervision. Utlize RedCap, NIH Toolbox, and a variety of other database management platforms for testing and data management. Assist with the program budget, maintain files and records, use discretion regarding sensitive information, and maintain confidentiality within the framework of the University guidelines. Additional responsibilities include seeing that study subjects are compensated and assisting the Research Specialist with purchasing study-related equipment and supplies. Perform home visits to study participants and distribute flyers and incentive program initiatives. |
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or closely related discipline and one to three years’ related experience required. Knowledge of software applications used to support office functions, and familiarity with Internet resources required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to provide own transportation to conduct home visits with study participants required. |
Desirable Qualifications | Prior research experience is desirable, as is any experience with clinical populations and/or children. |
Other Information | Regular working schedule is Monday through Friday 8AM – 4:30 PM. None-standard hours are required each week, based on Research Subject availability. Requires working 1-2 weekends per month and 1-2 weeknights per week. Weekend work occurs on Saturday in two shifts (8:00AM – 4:30PM or 10:00AM – 6:30 PM). The shift for weeknight work is 12:00 – 8:30 pm. Shift assignment is based on Research Subject availability, and occasional work beyond these hours may be necessary. |
