Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a 9-month, open rank tenure-track faculty position to begin Fall 2024. This position will join the Criminology and Criminal Justice Program, which is part of the School of Social Work.

Applicants for this position should possess a Ph.D. in Criminology & Criminal Justice, or a related field. Outstanding candidates who will have obtained their PhD prior to joining the faculty in July of 2024 will be considered for the rank of Assistant. Applicants at the Associate and Full levels must have publication, teaching and service records commensurate with those ranks. Our faculty are scholar-teachers and we are looking for a colleague who can contribute to our graduate and undergraduate teaching needs as well as enhance our research profile. While area of specialization is open there is a preference for candidates who can teach some or all of the following: theory, methods, statistics, cyber-crime/cyber security, policing and/or corrections. Applicants must have a strong and established research agenda with a productive publication record commensurate with rank sought. Applicants who demonstrate a strong potential for and/or high achievement in securing extramural funding are preferred. Primary responsibilities include conducting and publishing research, teaching and student mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and professional and university service.
