Job Description:

Supervise primary customer service area and staff at Transportation and Parking Services and the
operations of Visitor and Patient Parking at UF Health Shands and the Center for the Performing Arts.
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the customer service staff and area. Resolve complex
customer concerns and complaints.

Recommend and implement policy changes to enhance customer service for the department and
maximize efficiencies. Coordinate the proper handling and control of revenues for the department from
various revenue sources including permit sales and citation payments. Coordinate credit card transactions
and credit card information security including the handling and storage of customer credit card transaction
information and records for the department, ensuring compliance with the University’s policies governing
their management. Work in conjunction with Financial Services to ensure that all PCI compliance
documentation is verified on an annual basis.

Perform all appropriate good stewardship duties for fiscal accountability, internal controls, and
business continuation planning. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting deep sampling of financial
transactions, performing monthly reconciliations, verifying that the appropriate separation of duties are in
place, and generating financial and exception reports and reviewing them with appropriate management.

Liaison to Student Traffic Court (STC), Staff and Faculty Hearing Authority (FTA), University Hearing
Authorities (UHA) and Suspension Appeals Authority. Provide orientation, training, and administrative
support as necessary to ensure the smooth function of the appeals process. Serve annually as the
coordinator of and TAPS representative on the Student Traffic Court selection committee.

Research and provide reports and documents to the Senior Director as needed. Participate in high
level discussions, problem solving and decision making as a member of the senior leadership of
Transportation and Parking Services.

Supervise event coordinator for the various special events on campus.

Coordinate gate system operations and manage customer access, VIP access, and interface between
the gate system and T2 Systems, and recommend program changes and upgrades as needed.

Normal work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Classified as Essential Personnel and on-call 24/7.

Drives a state vehicle that requires a valid driver license.

A criminal background will be conducted.

Expected Salary:

 $52,000 - $59,000 based on experience

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Detailed knowledge of T2Flex parking management software or similar software.
Detailed knowledge of a parking gate control system.
Relevant PeopleSoft applications.
Preferred candidates will have experience in transportation and parking management at a large land-grant
institution, preferably with a medical research enterprise and teaching hospital.
Expert knowledge of T2 Systems’ PowerPark Flex parking management and ProWatch gate management
software.
Management and supervisory experience of a customer service staff dealing with a large and diverse
customer base in an educational environment.
