Job Description:

Student Assistant – Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, phone protocol/courtesies

Responsibilities – assist with 4-H State Headquarters Office

Provide support for creation and planning of communication assets to promote survey and recognize participants.

    • Florida 4-H is the youth development program of the University of Florida and UF/IFAS Extension. Seeking a student to assist with efforts in identifying, surveying and engaging alumni of 4-H.
    • Coordinate graduating senior/young alumni survey to collect alumni contact info and college/career intentions, and drive effort that may lead to further outcome studies to support research in youth development.
    • Coordinate graduating senior recognition item distribution by mail.
    • Provide support for creation and planning of communication assets to promote survey and recognize participants.
    • Input collected contact data into existing Alumni + Friends contact system and assist in establishing protocols for a dynamic 4-H alumni database.
    • Mine data from archival sources, including digital and print, such as Florida 4-H Hall of Fame, Foundation Board and correlate to existing and new CRM entity records.
 Advertised Salary:

$13/hour 

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a current Federal Work Study work award.

Commit minimum of 5 hours/week with up to 20 hours/week available through May 3, potential to extend into Summer based on hours.

    • Proficient with simple data handling/entry and Microsoft Excel; comfortable with use of Qualtrics.
    • Work physically at Florida 4-H Headquarters located at the Straughn Center, 2142 Shealy Drive, Gainesville, FL 32611.
    • Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Canva and ability to work with defined branding elements to create/replicate communication materials.
