Job Description:

A Florida Museum Visitor Services and Safety Representative protects the collections, displays and occupants of the public facility and exhibition center at Powell Hall and the McGuire Center of Lepidoptera and Biodiversity. Specific duties include greeting guests, exhibit patrol, policy enforcement, coordinating emergency response when needed, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. Representatives regularly interact with museum visitors, engaging the public with information about exhibits, museum events and resources, and furthering the museum’s mission to inspire people to value the biological richness of our world and make a positive difference in its future. Representatives coordinate event setups and strikes and provide access to secure areas as needed. A successful applicant has a positive attitude, excellent customer service skill, and ability to properly respond to emergency situations.

1 Part-time Weekend and Weekday full-shift availability required. 15-20 hours per week, shifts are Monday-Saturday 9:30am-5:15pm and Sunday 12:30pm-5:15pm. Must be available over the summer.

This is a time-limited position, one-year minimum commitment preferred.

Expected Salary:

$15.00 per hour
