The Student Health and Counseling Center strives to support students in achieving their academic, professional, and personal goals. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Administrative Support Coordinator I. Under the general direction of the Associate Director for Health Services and leadership of the Assistant Director, Sexual Violence Prevention & Advocacy Services (SVPAS), the Administrative Support Coordinator-I (ASC-I) provides clerical and administrative support for approximately four full-time and four part-time SVPAS staff. Provides customer relations and front desk support for students, faculty, and staff interacting with SVPAS, and acts as the first point of contact for SVPAS via email, phone, or walk-ins. Supports the Campus Confidential Advocates with scheduling participants, and coordinates on/off campus partner meetings and collaborations for department staff as needed. Maintains the confidential administrative records of the Campus Confidential Advocates, oversees the scheduling of Advocates to ensure equitable distribution, and is the primary point of contact for campus partners including Title IX, UPD, Basic Needs, Student Affairs, Housing, etc. Supports the Violence Prevention Educator on the development and growth of the Peer Educator Program including the Advocacy Ambassador and Liaison Program. Supports processes to hire, train and supervise student staff, interns, and volunteers. Supports collaborations with campus partners and student organizations to ensure awareness of, and access to, SVPAS. Provides logistical support for departmental events and program planning. Represents SVPAS and Cal State Fullerton at on-campus and community coalitions and workgroups that address and prevent sexual or interpersonal violence. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications
|
High School diploma or the equivalent and four years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Thorough knowledge of office systems with the ability to use a range of technology, systems and software packages. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math including calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data, and making simple projections. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports. Ability to handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Preferred Qualifications
|
Knowledge of campus and community resources for domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Understanding of sexual violence as a cultural and social problem. Understanding and analysis of the impacts of intersectional systems of oppression on victim/survivor’s experience of trauma, prevention efforts, and responding to instances of sexual violence. Participation in allyship trainings or willingness to participate in on-campus ally trainings after hiring.
Experience supervising a team, preferably including students, interns, or volunteers. Prior experience working in victim advocacy, violence prevention, or sexual health area. Prior experience overseeing or collaborating with confidential campus advocacy services. Familiarity with anti-oppression and participatory pedagogies. Participation in allyship trainings or willingness to participate in on-campus ally trainings after hiring.
Knowledge and experience with social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), and creative design programs/software (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, etc.).

California State Domestic Violence Advocate Training.
