Job Description:

  • Works with the Medical Director to develop long and short-term objectives for services consistent with the
    philosophy and mission of the program and in compliance with all Department of Health guidelines.
    Participates in grant writing, contract negotiation and/or re-accreditation as needed.

  • Develops and recommends strategic and operational plans and operating policies in a cost-effective and
    customer-oriented manner. Implements endorsed actions and policies and monitors progress.

  • Oversees, analyzes and prepares the quarterly and annual reports for the Child Protection Team, including
    accumulating and verifying the number of referrals, forensic and specialized interviews, forensic medical
    examinations, personal contacts, advocacy, performance measures as defined in the contract standards,
    demographic statistics and services per county.

  • Acts as liaison with community agencies, including Department of Children and Families (DCF), local law
    enforcement, the State Attorney’s Office, and other partners. Attends protocol, task force and other
    community meetings and participates in the developmental of recommendations, ensuring consistency
    with the program requirements and providing education and training internally to ensure collaboration.

  • Reviews and monitors case files for both internal and external quality assurance standards. Ensures that
    all documentation and reports are completed in a professional and timely manner. Directly assist with
    casework, as needed, and provides support with in-crisis or problem cases.

  • In collaboration with the Division Administration, promotes financial viability of services and programs
    through appropriate budgeting and monitoring of financial performance related to pricing strategies,
    revenues, expenditures and resource management.

  • In collaboration with the Division Administration, has responsibility for establishing systems that ensure
    efficient and cost effective utilization of resources, space, materials and personnel. Develops,
    recommends and provides oversight in conjunction with the Medical Director, opportunities for increased
    revenues; including grant research and writing, billing for medical examinations, and expert court
    testimony.

  • Recruits, supervises and trains team members to ensure compliance with University, Department of
    Health, Department of Children and Families, and other requirements including background/safety
    checks, annual requirements and adherence to company policy.
  • Coaches, supports and provides input for team member performance evaluations.
  • Delivers timely and effective communication through regular team meetings.
Expected Salary:

$85,000 to $95,000 annually depending on education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA or MA in Human Services field, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or another behavioral science. At least 3 years of post-bachelor experience in the field of child abuse and neglect, one of which must have been in program management.
  • Meets requirements as specified in Florida Administrative rule, 64-C-8.002(2)-(b), Team Coordinator qualifications will include at least one year of experience Child Protection Services (Child Protective Investigations, Community Based Care Case Management, Child Protection Teams).
  • Determined to be a qualified expert in the field by either a dependency court or State Attorney's Office. Demonstrated skills in generation psychosocial reports, public speaking, networking with the community of law enforcement, DCF and victim servicing agencies and able to multi-task regarding scheduling and dealing with emergency crisis situations.
